They are all saved as .tif images, using LZW lossless compression, which means there is no quality loss due to saving and compression, but it allows us to fit many images on a single CD-Rom to save you in cost. The images will always open and read back exactly as they were created, without data corruption, at approximately 21.6 megabytes each.
